Description
Driving west on East Monroe Street about two blocks short of the Sears Tower in "The Loop" in Chicago. All the red lights caught my eye.
The Sears Towers got an official name change on the 16th of July. It is now the Willis Tower, Just doesn't have the same familiar ring to it:-)
Do ZOOM. Have added a B&W version with selective coloring below the color version.
You'll see some strange reflections from the inside of my windshield...but with all the grunge work of late...there's nothing to worry about right? LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and all your great support,
Bill:)

BEAUTIFUL SHOT AND F/X, Not easy trough the windshield
Cool images, Bill. I, like the B & W.
Your bottom capture really makes those red lights stand out. Excellent work on this great city scape. Those buildings look to reach to the clouds.
cool
Fantastic collage... love them both...
say what Willis!!!the news said that locals refused to start using the new name, like it was going to do harm to the owners.some people can be really silly. excellent shot Bill
Natural grunge; LOL I love it! Fantastic street scene Bill .. even looks great in B/W... but them DARNED red lights! I hit 'em everytime!
I really like the bottom one with the selective color--guess I'll be seeing this before too long!!
I like both versions very much! The pov from the middle of the street is great!
great shot!
fantastic capture and great work...Bravo..!!!
Excellent shot and the b&w version looks superb too.
very cool!!!! Wonderful perspective and photo!!!!
SUPERB! How clever, Bill, something else I don't know how to do!
Interesting treatment. Like others, the lower image gets my eye as more than different.
gorgeous picture!!!
Fantastic!!!
Cool 'Drive-By' shot Bill. I'm, for once, actually undecided between top or bottom as Fav! Leave it with me... lol. fine work.... Rob.
They are both great images bud, I like the monochrome colour pop.
That's a really great cityscape Bill!! :)
Humm...huge tall buildings but your POV on this is sooo awesome!
You're right, the reflection of the windshield makes it a 'natural grunge' image!and, in my opinion, even enhances it? great shot! in the B/W i love the idea of the red spots, but i'd also colored the banner on the post on the left margin and a spot under that. Did you leave them out because it unbalanced the focus at the center?
Great shot. I like the B/W best.
Now that is some awesome creativity.. outstanding work.
Exceptional photo, Bill, my preferrence is the color version, because of the sky reflected in the windows... it has a painting quality about it! Tom
Really great work here Bill!
Great work! I like it a lot ;O)
Beautiful cityscape. Nice in color as well as in B&W.
Marvelous POV and sharp clarity in this stellar capture of the skyscraping architectural giants, bisected by East Monroe Street, Bill. This would blow my mind and put me into a fetal position if I was claustrophibic. The only indication of a reflection or irregularity that I can determine is from the tinted portion of the windshield at the top of the pics.
Both views are beautiful, Bill, and it is a great urbanscape capture. If memory serves, The Dirksen Federal Building is the one in the left foreground with the supports. I thought maybe you and I might be part of the reflected "grunge" on the windshield! (LOL)
