That's astonishing! What a beautiful thing to have in one's yard.
I thought it was an orchid tree. Before I saw one at the City of Refuge, I never knew orchids grew on trees. Nice capture. Your cousin is lucky to have one in the yard. Aloha
Gorgeous
We have a very similar tree here Marilyn. I have posted a single bloom of it on a pink and yellow background not too long ago!!! It is divine... and your shot perfect!!! :))

I bet you could grow on in your greenhouse though and keep it root pruned to retain a small enough size...? Eh?:-) Beautiful. One I did not know about.
An orchid tree, you say. Stellar focus and ambiance, Maz, but it looks like an ordinary, garden variety, purple day lily to me.
Just wonderful!!Excellent macro!
This is beautiful. Great shot.
This is gorgeous! I love the colors and the drops of dew! This is such a calming picture...more than that, it's a whole mood. Great, fantastic work!
lovely shot Marilyn x
SUPERBE !
lots of variety of hue, texture and focus...a very rich shot. You captured the richness & variety of this opulent variety of flower...lots of wonderful motion too. Really beautiful, several stages in the branches & buds too. A "Bach"-like shot, meaning it has lots of separate "lines" going at once, and they're all in sync with each other...
