Description
The Arboretum has so many wonderful places to just hang out and watch the world go by.
Denise and I were wandering along the water's edge when these kayakers came around the corner. I stood there snapping off shot after shot, which prompted Denise to ask me why I was taking so many pictures of these guys. It was the paddles ... I wanted to see if I could get them in synch or perfectly opposite, with the reflections in the still water.
When I got home and looked at these shots, I realized that the guy in front was staring at me the whole time I was taking his picture!
I'm a perfectly innocent-looking middle-aged woman just out for an afternoon at the park, minding my own business, taking pictures of ducks. What did he think - that I was going to post his picture on the internet or something??
Oh ... ummm ... never mind!
:D

LOL, love your comments. the shot is nice and it is clear that the man is staring at you wondering what are you doing.
LOL! Super shot by the way. I love the reflection and the x of the paddles! (Now I have Elvis on my mind.)
Great picture! anyone hear banjos playing?
Funny! I have something that I could post that would compliment this capture. Photo 1 has surprised young lady on extreme right side, photo 2 has her looking at me verrrry strangely...I hadn't noticed her at all until getting home. Was it my fault she just happened to be in the way? LOL. I am a perfectly innocent-looking middle-aged man just visiting the museum minding my own business. Did she think I was going to post her picture on the internet or something??
Great capture Tara. I love the reflections, this looks almost unreal!
LOL!! Tara, What a wonderful expression you captured of him staring at you with that slight tilt of the head! Not to mention his reflection in the water! Excellent!!!
Brilliant shot, and such a funny commentary! Actually when I read the ebot I thought that is a REALLY eccentric name for an Iris.
Lol,great shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAWWW!! It is a really awesome shot Tara. I love the reflection and the story behind it is so fun LOL !
Firstly dear Tara - thanks a whole bunch for the title - Elvis is now humming away in my head!!!! What great timing here with the oars making an X. It remind me of that Forum Challenge a couple of months ago!! Great one my friend! druk en soen

Maybe he was a little nervous after checking on his hidden crop upstream hehe! good synch work.

Those large biceps I think caught you eyes lol. Excellent opposing paddle capture Tara!
I think you made them go back and do this over and over again until you got the perfevt shot. Nice job
nooo you would never take their photo and put it on the internet!!! haha great capture
LOL! I remember this, and I did see he was watching you watching him...maybe he's someone famous? Or just a wannabe? Great shot, you got it perfect!

If he only knew!!! LOL---But I love how you got just exactly what you wanted--GREAT shot!!
great capture...
Cool reflection shot and yes I to would be wondering what the F you were doing.
How funny. I was snapping shots in the farmer's market yesterday never really thinking about the people there except how they best fit in as accent pieces in my composition ... until a delightful older couple saw I was pointed in their direction and then they started hamming it up for the camera. It was wonderful and I laughed so hard at their waving and winking at me that I almost didn't come back with any decent shot at all. :-)
Firstly, I'm so sorry I have'nt commented on your work before... no excuse! This is a beautiful picture - I like like like the reflection in the water... !
