Description
Come "Skyscraping" with me. A zoom adds detail.
Looking north from the 99th floor of the Chicago Sears Tower.
Pardon the streaky window which takes a bit of crispness away from the vista. Thought you'd like to see the sights anyway:-)
Thanks for stopping by,
Bill

It's an astonishing sight. I should so HATE to live in such a place, though.
Wow. Excellent shot!!
great view
Beautiful view with wonderful depth, Bill!
Another image sending me spinning my friend, I past by quick, but saw enough to see its a goodun.
great vista
Flip, another WOW Bill. Just LOVE these views.
Good work Bill. The vanishing point goes up in a shaft of light. Happy use of streaked glass.
GREAT WORK MR. BILL. You answered my question about the bent and twisted beer can building yesterday with such speed that I now have another question. Who is the fellow getting into the white car in front of the UBS Building in this pix? Got you stumped don't I. Hee Hee, Cheers, mug lifted in your direction
Beautiful view and very well done. It's probably a good thing they have glass between you and that steep drop.
A breathtaking view for sure Bill!
Chicago are so beautiful Smaller then NY but bigger then Montreal :) And some beautiful beach around Chicago and Michigan lake
sublime view, it makes me dizzy! vertigo is the right word!
wow!!! That's a view!!!! super!
Another spectacular view-wow!!
Stunning image Bill! I LOVE Chicago despite the fact that it was so foggy everytime I went there!! :)
Wonderful bird's eye view! Cheers, Clive
Holy Cow! You are up high and touching the clouds. Excellent shot. Aloha
great view!!!! Fantastic photo!
So why the heck didn't you just step out on that ledge and clean that window off??? LOL Fabulous view. Even with the dirty window, there is so much to appreciate in this shot.
Another beautiful view...great capture!
fantastic sight ..you can almost touch the clouds!!
I marvel at the depth of field and clarity in these top of the zillionth floor shots of yours, Bill! I don't get a sense of acrophobia with this one. Stellar contrast between the compact and ordered cubism of the bottom contrasted with the fluffy, free and easy cloud effects of the sky above.
Though so!!. Another great shot Bill, streaky windows? if they're on the outside, I aint cleaning them. @Skipper...Thats Rob flagging down an ice-cream truck !
You can see for miles from up here. A super capture.
It's flat! I always forget. I'm hoping for two more ... what are my chances?
Lovely view of my Dad's old stomping grounds on the Northside!
Jaw dropping!
Bill I'll stop here, only because I want to hit a few more galleries before going back to sleep...I'll get the rest of yours in the next day or two, for sure. But why end here? My apartment is visible from here! I can't point it out, because the landmarks are hard to explain, but I'm in the line of buildings on the right, about 2 inches in from the Lake and about half an inch down from the skyline. (Thanks Mark, that helps a lot!) Well I'm there, trust me! That's the Near North, and its a mass of highrises and water. And you got the dusty sky, and line of sun cutting across the higher areas. And way up there, in the foggy distance, is Chicago's far North Side, where I was born and lived many years. The lake goes up & up: This is just the verrrrry southern tip. Nice shot Bill, and it shows how flat and sprawling this place really is. ("It's flat! I always forget"—tara. Lol. Yep, that's the midwest! In fact, we're flatter than you are, Bill!) And amazing to think that much of this was built on a swamp, where you couldn't keep a wooden house level for long...I'll return for the rest soon; it's just great to walk in your gallery, you gotta know that!
Beautiful view with wonderful depth!!!
