Description
*Right from the top of the ancient tower,
Lonely little bird, trhought the countryside
you fly, singing, till the day will die;
and around this solitary valley, there it goes: harmony.*
Giacomo Leopardi
-this is instead an aquarel I made 7 years ago.. I remember it took me a lot, but I always loved it: it's an old house you can see near to my mountain house.. it has always inspired peaceful feelings to me, no matter what colour the sky up above it has got, it smells that scent of pure, valuable, simple things around. Those things we should treasure, but often we are unable to see.-

Meli, A lovely picture - the colour toning (I guess a little faded with age) reminds me on those wonderful travel posters I used to see when I was young and no doubt triggered my wanderlust.
i love watercolors!! this is gorgeous, it has such an old time feel to it... meli, this is wonderful! :)
Gallimel, breath taking. An economy of line, absolutely stunning!
Thank you :) this pic means a whole life to me :) It's great to see I was able to communiate this even if just a bit :) thanx :)

another good composition, so tranquil, 7 years ago, wow, you have some good experience behind you
Stunning!!! - A really wonderful work in watercolor, Meli, thanks for sharing it ! !
Your work is so beautiful, and so evocative............thank you!
This picture makes you really feel good! The warm colours and the peaceful atmosphere make the image so inviting. I envy you for making such a wonderful piece of artwork.
This image makes my day :-) I love this peaceful atmosphere on a very busy day at office.
Mel this just touches the spirit...it is beautiful and elegant..a wonderful art work.
What a beautiful old house wood and garden around and hills above, and I guess there is a sea somewhere near what a man can wish more except to family to live with there and enjoy in life beautiful
The colors and shapes transpose the work well. It is the rooftiles and stones that give a directness to this view. I am pleased to see this subtle reference to a favorite place.
amzing art work as ever ! very professional ! wonderful image ! Congratulations friend !!!
You all are just so sweet :) :) :) Thanx a lot for this.. I am moved :) :) :)
Oh s Gli acquerelli! Mi piacciono tanto! Qualche volta ci pasticcio anch'io... Mi sono sempre chiesta perchci sono cospochi acquerelli tra i quadri delle mostre "importanti"... Bella l'immagine: evocativa e d'atmosfera... giusto il tetto sotto il quale rifugiarsi quando il cielo ingrigisce...
Very nice pic, cool place...
I love the muted tones in this painting! It's subtle and yet, it provokes such deep emotions! Wonderful!
A lovely piece of work this. Wonderful atmosphere and the tones work so well... so peaceful too.
This is my last comment, as I know the previouses here but I have to say you've started really to blossom after this one in particular. This place is workin good on you, you are getting inspired more and more like it wasn't from years. Look darin, we're folowin you like hunters and you know we are demanding your best, so no tricks like you did with Marauders. We want stuff like THIS one. I am so proud of you!
No concepts here, just a fine pleasure to feel.
The vintage coloring is a plus of feeling.
Come home........come home to my heart..close the doors to the lower world.....I will be by your side...I will be your friend.....I will share with you my simplicity....we will be one.....come, open my doors and step in...the house on the hill............!!
I love this one! Wish I was there. You've given this landscape a personality and a mood.
I like the vintage quality, from the yellowing colour scheme - maybe this was just your scanner being dodgy, but for me it works. It looks as though it could be 50 years old, or more. I am trying to picture the place in my mind's eye, in photographic detail :-)
This is simply stunning! It takes me back in time... such a peaceful, warm atmosphere :)
Oh to have a simple life!Without constraint!Sometimes I would rather be the painted than the painter!A toast to pure, valuable, and simple things!
this is so beautiful. i would keep this one for 7 years to, maybe 777 years if i could. the treatment of the foreground, especially the walk is perfect, it makes my eye 'walk' to the house! and, makes me want to go there myself to see such a beautiful scene.
fantastic scene in the mountain. wonderful artwork. ** VOTE ** !!!!!!!!!!! #:O) !!!!!!
