Description
This small little Robin fell out of the nest along with his brother after the storm we had.He could not fly and his brother must have taken off or ate by the cat but i did not dare touch it for the mother and father stayed by close to it till it died and when i picked it up i noticed that it was bleeding in the ankle area so it must have broken some bones or something but i had to move it so i would not run over it with the mower.

if you find yourself in the same situation in future, and you can reach the nest safely, dont be afraid to put it back in there. i have heard people say that the parents will not feed a chick after it has been touched because of the smell, but most birds don't have a sense of smell, and once the chick is back in the nest the parents will feed it.

What a heart wrenching image. Poor thing. We have a bird rescue centre here (50 miles away actually), which takes birds such as he/she. I have taken 6 birds there over time, all but one, making a full recovery. Amazing place. Wonderful, if sad, image.
