Description
Yep, this tarantula was in our back yard today. We saw him on our window and were rather surprised. He was about four inches long and a bit irritable when I got too close. But, in the end, he let me take his portrait and didn't even demand to sign a release. Vanity. :)

Better in your garden than mine!
Cool spider. Growing up in the southwest, I'm used to his other cousins, Not that I'd invite one in to the house for a bite...
Great shot, i hate spiders...
I think I would of freaked out for a second seeing a spider this big, then get closer for a better look. Great photo.
Gorgeous!
You can keep him!!! Nice shot!!
Nasty little creature but most are harmless as long as he doesn't rear its front legs up and expose his his fangs as will most of the large poisonous types will like the Brazilian Wandering spider or Sydney funnel web. Just point it in another direction or squish it.
Awesome !!! A very great macro capture !!! 5* Hugs Karin:)
WOW... It's absolutely FANTASTIC !!! Outstandingly captured !!!
