Super side shot of the Cadillac of the Skies, Fenton! Do you know the model version? And, did you ever see the great movie, Empire of the Sun? Neat shots of the Mustang in that one.

Fantastic capture! ( from a Flight simulator fanatic ! )
"It will be a sad day when the last of these classy planes disappears" I don
t think it has to happen. There are so many of them, and I bet sb produces spare parts:) Moreover, some yrs ago sb made a brand new flying Spitfire from parts found in bogs, junkyards, etc.-even if all original ones fail, there still will be an opportunity to make some. Recently Jakowlew produced a series of their Yak-3 - why couldnt the descendants of N.A.?;) Btw, I can`t say it was an actual Workhorse. These were made as the more advanced and more expensive type and required very careful maintenance; docs available on the New suggest a Mustang could loose as much as some 50km/h (~30mph) of its performance after accumulating front line wear-and-tear! It seems the old sturdy P-40 fulfilled such a role better. Mustangs were the race stallions:).Beautiful shot :)
An excellent study!
Love those planes !
Excellent shot, well done...
