Description
Resolution And Resolve
Telling my truth
Saying what's
On my mind
And in my heart
Steel myself
To make those
Words count
Let them be heard
It used to be
Impossible
Uncomfortable
Painful
Today not so much
The truth
Will set you free
Trite but yes it's true
So resolutely
I say the
Words that so
Need to be said
With great resolve
I take a giant step
Forward in life
Free of unwanted burden
There is loss
A sense of what
Could have been
Might have been
What I thought
I wanted
And then there
Was that light
That showed me
The way
To a road full of
Promise and truth
And I walk down that road

So easy to comment on your poetry because it is exactly what you set out for it to be...open and honest. Your "road" photo is neat. It may be narrow but it isn't quite straight:-) The truth will set you free isn't trite in my book. It is the key. I probably could ramble on but let me stop right here with, "I like it", ...what you see is what you get! Well done...short and memorable.

WELL written and MOST thoughtful and insightful piece! (I'm reminded of the famous quote by the old Negro League baseball pitcher, Satchel Paige, who pitched well into his early 50s': "Don't look BACK, somethin' might be gainin' on ya'!" WINK .... My BEST to you and yours, KIND SOUL .... T.P.
