Description
Eastern Fox Squirrel poised in tree ten feet from my bird feeders.
These guys have not been too troubling but could be. My dog allows everything to happen on the deck regarding activities of birds and chipmunks but always alerts me to a sneak attack on the feeders by a squirrel. We let him get a little something, then open the door, wave the broom and tell him to beat it banging a nearby tree branch with the broom.
Tara (auntietk) frequently rates her own photos with a "Sneak Factor"...High, Medium or Low :-)
Thanks for stopping by,
Bill:)
P.S. Also get a gray squirrel visitor now and then. These fox squirrels are a bit larger than the typical gray squirrel.

A superb shot Bill, a really gorgeous squirrel
Really pleased to know what these are! I have wondered for ages!
Beautiful photo.
Superb!!
Marvelous image.
superlative capture!!
Beautiful shot and model :)
Wonderful photo. I can't tell whether you, or he, is the sneakier, though. Much redder than ours.
excellent capture!
Aww...:-)
Mine have gotten quite cheeky recently and overturn the bowl within minutes. I love them but am aggravated with them at the moment, lol. Nice shot, Bill.
Great capture of this little robber.
It looks that you're hosting a kind of convention in that backyard of yours! ;D)I suppose that if they were salesmen you'd use the broom on their backs! they should disguise themselves as cute birds and squirrels!BTW EXCELLENT SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TOO COOL
Very handsome chap, no pics of your dog?????
He's so beautiful! I just have grays here. Great shot!
so nice animal!!! Wonderful photo!
Excellent!!
Superb capture. It looks as though he is posing for you.. lol do you put something in the feed that makes them respond? Excellent work.
The squirrel has positioned itself in a tree just like a sniper in the Pacific theater during WWII and the Vietnam conflict. Terrific closeup of the nefarious and opportunistic little critter, all set to get at any tasty morsel within reach.
Sweet shot Bill; I got to enjoy one of these jumping from tree to tree this morning while out on my deck with book and coffee .. still in my pj's :) I think tomorrow morning, I'll have to remember the camera!
He is so cute and this is a super capture. I'm glad you let him have a bite before you chase him away.
cute critters but a nuisance. excellent sneak factor
WOW!!!! Bill. This is a STUNNING shot. Really in your face. Masterly and beautiful too. Sorry for late comments AGAIN! Will send note! Rob.
I love this! Not only is it a wonderful photograph, but now you have me imagining squirrels with cameras sneaking around trying to take pictures when nobody is looking. :)
A cute little chap!
A so lovely squirrel!
