Description

"... is that a pistol in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" Hello everyone. This picture took me a whole lot longer to make than I expected. I ran into a lot of little problems with Vue 7 Esprit that slowed me down. This pretty much maxed out my computer's resources, and Vue ran out of memory trying to import the Poser characters. Once I got that solved, Vue couldn't get some of the textures right. If you apply a wood texture to a fence, then turn the fence, the texture stayed in the same orientation while the object turned under it. I replaced my wooden fence for a stone, but you can still see the direction of the material. If anyone out there knows how to fix this, I'd really appreciate the help. I finally managed to compose the picture, then it wouldn't render (too many textures, out of memory errors, etc). After saving, closing and reopening the program several times, I finally got the picture to come out. After all that work, I really hope you like it. If you have any tips or tricks at getting large scenes to render using Vue, I'd like to hear your suggestions. Tom Seaview123

Hi Tom, this is excellent. So sorry you had so much trouble. Purge the memory just before rendering that helps. I also find with very large detailed images it helps to shut the program down, restart the computer and then render. That way the program memory is fresh as is the computers memory. The poser figures really take up alot resources. Sometimes you can just render them then do the background and put it together in post. I'm so glad you stuck with it. Hugs, Luna
