Description
This range is on the Navajo Reservation north of Winslow. If this were Federal Land, leased out to a rancher, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) would determine how many head of cattle the land could sustain. Rangeland like this would support about one head, maybe two head of cattle per square mile. I don't know how the Navajo determine sustainability.

I lived in that part of the world many, many years ago very close to the Navajo Reservation. I'm glad I came back to Oklahoma; awesome capture!!!
