Description
Those who'd like to get a better glance at the plane almost hidden among the trees in my previous photo From The Balcony, here they can see it in a lawn just before the ground (first) floor of the main building. In the background you can see a glimpse of the 11th century tower, and the arches of one of the two so-called barchesse. Even if it is often translated as 'barn' actually the barchessa, a typical feature of the villas (country seats and/or mansions) in Veneto are places for harnessess, carriages, and the like, as well as dry food reserves. They could be attached to the main building or not, as wings.

A most excellent pair of photos! Really gets the adrenalin pumping thinking of what this airplane must've gone through! A most beautiful setting and captures!
So exiting to hear about 11 century building. Hope you post a nice view of it.
Good shots with interesting info on the barchesse. The tower will long outlast the Texan:) Hope the museum has some plans to bring the plane inside at some time in the future.
