Description
I'm sure you're looking at this image and looking at the title and you're probably thinking ...
"That's it ... she's really gone 'round the bend now!!"
Okay, here's the deal: I was at Trent and David's this week and Trent made me a chocolate martini. The glass was sitting on the bar and every time I moved it, this ribbon of light on the wall would move and change. That light you see is from my martini glass. (Hence the title, you see?)
:)
Oh! And I learned a new postwork trick, which I used on the tulips. (Thanks Piet!)

Absolutely stunning image!
Amazing! This is genius work!
I just love the fact that you tried enhancing your lighting. Creating the streaks was very creative! Did you do this before or after the Martini...
looks real work of a paintbrush, so beautyful. enchanting.
Beautifully seen and captured Tara!
wow Tara, such a de-lightful shot... hmmm a chocolate martini... have to admit I never heard of this one... lol... and of course I am eager to know about the new trick you learned from Piet...smile
Lovely composition
美しいチューリップ!!!鮮やかな光が素晴らしいショット!!!!!
This is fascinating, very great composition, i like every part of this picture!
Beautiful refraction effect. You achieved two in one: two artistic photos:the flowers looking just quite a classical painting and the wonderful textures and shadows you have captured in the wall.Excellent.My instant fav.
Stellar display of color blends and lighting effects in this one...and what prestidigitation did Piet reveal to you vis-a-vis postwork?
cool lighting here
I'm commenting for two right now, because I know that if Victor saw this, he'd have a lot of something to say, either in Russian or intriguingly rendered English. Like me, he'd be zapped by the color, the subtle postwork and the perfection of the composition itself. As for me, this whole image has a perfectly elegant vibe--and to think that a chocolate martini is partly responsible for that. They make a positively divine chocolate martini at a bar here in Chicago called "Cocktail" and your picture makes me want one...but only if the bartender named Val makes it. So many of your works have a certain sensuality to them, and this is no exception. I love the softness of it, the whole implications of life taking place. The green of the leaves is a perfect compliment to the warmer, almost flesh-like colors.
Very nice work sweetie, love the compo!
Cool shot. Well done.
Extraordinary work!!
Stunning work... great capture..!!!
This is such a marvelous shot! I can just imagine how the ribbons of light must have been dancing about on the wall.

The postwork trick worked wonders...this is great....
I don't go into "objects" all that often so now I have to on a regular basis. You have bent light and better than that you bent light with chocolate. Awesome capture and a definate WOW!!! because it knocked my socks off. Dana P
