Description
Down to Earth for this one, though they spend much time on the ground, they are graceful in flight.. This one was in prime breeding colours,as I have rarely seen the blue of the eye or the wattles so bright.. Guess if you wear a crown you are entitled to show off a bit!

First of all thanks for your comment on what appears to be a griffon vulture. Your African Crowned Crane is very nice... It looks like somthing draw it's attention.
Man your photographs are out of this world. Wonderful!
This exact bird is why i remember the US was the beginning of the "save the world from the smart monkies" movement. It made me sad in the 4th(?) grade that something so beautiful could go the way of the do-do because of us (; I love it man (; Made me stop throwing my plastic for sure. The earth to me is far more important than some species...could be the Jaegermeister talking, but for a change...i dont think so :D
Fantastic Pic and nicely Framed.
