Hello ! I am interrupting the leaf series to share a few eyes. I 2D Forum we have a thread about creating eyes This eye is a pencil drawing I just put into an image for a more charming precentation :))) Thanks for your kind comments to my previous post and special warm thanks to those who added it to favs. Have a great day. Looks like it will be a wonderful spring day here. :) Sunny, peaceful and not so cold :)

you often mix very studious lines with very free ones; you do that in some of your paintings too; and it's a balance I find hard to achieve, but you do achieve it a lot. The eye-proper has beautiful detail, though simple as well; and you get an almost 'sculpted' look in the cornea, the light falls across it in nice concrete bands. And the rest is given just enough detail to tell us it's a face, which I like (ie, I like the sketchiness of it). But, you put the drawing into this burnt & ripped paper motif, which looks like it's been stained by ink & age; and that's a great touch. (That's the kind of thing I love to draw & paint, only I don't put eyes on them because my eyes leave a lot to be desired!) A fine single piece Helle, with creative backing. I love how it almost looks like an ink-stain...
