Description
Yesterday was my first day outside in more than a month. Finally the weather was warm enough and no wind so that I could sit in the backyard for awhile. Maintenance was surveying what we need to do for spring cleanup and built a small barbecue pit. The box that housed my strawberries last year had been covered all winter with a board. He decided to move that box so had to remove the cover.
Imagine our surprise when we discovered what appeared to be fish eggs in the dirt...Usually I am thrilled to find something new, something I haven't seen before and this time was no exception...However, after searching all sorts of eggs in google images I finally found these...ewwwwwww!!! slug eggs!!! I didn't know that slugs laid eggs so I did learn something new and thats a good thing! but what to do with the eggs now? I have too much respect for God's creatures to just smash them...any suggestions?

Or if you have a neighbor you don't like you could relocate them...or better relocate them to a nature area!

Dont know how thay will react to being moved but might want to try that. Im told that it might be good to have the little buggers around once they hatch. This is an excellent picture and has lots of value on all fronts. As a work of art and a study in Bio. Bravo and keep em coming Hey you know me; if you have not moved them yet try taking one at night. If you have external flash or light try placing behind or under with colored gels; might be interesting Bravo once again
Slug eggs? Cool! ... in a gross way... i'd leave 'em, then when they hatch, the slugs will leave... it'd be cool to look at them everyday to see how they grow... :)
