Description
Yesterday we were without power for half the day...I have to tell you, they could not pay me enough to do the job that they do! The wind was blowing, it was pouring rain when they started and sparks were flying when they moved some wires. They had to replace an entire wire from the pole two houses away from me to the pole that they are working on, about 6 houses farther. *Sorry I don't know the distance between poles, I am a girl after all:-)*
I am finally feeling a whole lot better so will be trying to catch up some now. Many thanks to all who have commented in my absence and for viewing today!

I don't know about where you are but power poles are generally about two hundred feet or sixty metres apart down here in Australia. And replacing sections of those wires is NOT an easy or thoroughly safe task. The wires are murder to handle and those platforms are NOT close to the ground if you slip. I can't see in this, but I do hope they had their safety harnesses on and connected. Interesting shot of men at work, for once.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. These folks who work on the power lines do a dangerous job to keep everyone happy.

Good to see you up and atem again Lynn, great shot, there are those including me that would straighten this, I think the tilt gives it an edge, shocking stuff :)
I love the composition. One can not help but take in the entire scene as all the linear lines just pull you from one side to the other, and then the the vertical irregular lines of the trees take over and really get your eyes moving. Bravo!!!!!!1
