Description
Fractal created in Xaos. I wanted to explain my absence and apologize for not responding to your comments or posts for so long. As some of you know I was having back/side problems getting ready for a dance performance. It turns out I had a rare pre-cancerous and rather wicked appendix. It was removed just in time and I'm now in recovery. Hopefully I'll be back soon, but it takes time to heal. I feel blessed to be alive, to have caught it in time (I had no symptom other than a catch in my side and almost didn't see a doctor about it). Anyway, I'm with you all in spirit and hope to be joining you soon. If I were out here, I'd just be whining a lot about this post-op pain. LOL I'll visit your galleries asap. Anyway, I'd been working on this image before I "left". It seems kind of intuitive in a way as it looks like a sort of rebirth to me not only of spring, but of my life in general. I'm slowly getting better, but don't want to push myself as I often do.

VERY beautiful image, and lovely, lovely life-greens. Delightful clarify as well, the full view a total must on this one. Wishes for a speedy recovery, and thoughts your way, for healing.
A very nice graphic. Very sharp and pristine... well cultivated, but at the same time offering some safe paths of exploration - just what we need in Spring... is it Spring? If it isn't, it ought to be. Pain is a state of mind, unless you've got some, then it hurts like hell.
Gorgeous design! Splendid work. Bunny

this is gorgeous .. Im glad you are feeling better and sorry to hear you were sick hugs :)
This is really neat looking...lovely design
And here I thought you were gone just to be getting ready for the performance. I'm so glad that you decided to go to the doctor .. just proves that it's good to pay attention to what you're body is telling you. Hope your recovery goes fast and well, but don't push yourself. This is a wondeful image for spring, recovery, regrowth. That beautiful lace like underlayer I see as ice and snow, and the green foliage just will not hold back, it will grow, and the ice and snow will melt, watering the foliage .. magnificent work
Delicate and lovely! Get better soon :)
This is absolutely gorgeous! I hope you are feeling better real soon.
fantastic ... looks like what the ground looks like when the snow melts and the green grass peeks through ... excellent!!!
Intense and strong, it is almost like the image design is alive or moving slowly. Remarkable and attentive.
first, I hope you're well & I'm sorry to hear you weren't well; second I'm glad I finally came to your gallery as I've seen & heard of you from others...but most of all, this is an exquisite piece, with very subtle detail and a quiet sense of 'shimmer' that I can't quite describe...You've worked the moss forms beautifully into the other fractal forms; the smaller white 'cells' that populate the piece sit finely & sensitively throughout (they appear almost like snow under the moss), and the moss itself—though fractal-like—feels genuinely like moss: You've captured enough detail & motion to make it feel wholly organic. The whole feels a bit like a procession & reminds me of Ballanchine for some reason...it's quietly luminous & very fine. I'll be back for more...
fantastic textures and details here....great fractal render!
Hope you are wholly recovered now. Your story is like mine when an observant medical student suspected something not quite right when the jour doc wanted to send me home with painkillers only. it was a cancer kidney that then soon was removed. A long time of recovery followed, but i was so grateful it was found before it had spread. You fractal moss has a life, like crawling on the beautiful almost lace-like background. of some reason I think of it under water.
