Description
This one's for you, Tara, just a tiny little piece of one of the pillars at the monastery. Still probably show WAY more than you would, but I'm learning!!

Wow, awesome crop & capture! This is SO cool!
Great crop. Cool shot. I have yet to have the courage to try one of these...but you are giving me the idea:-)
Excellent crop in fact, I am sure our auntie will love it, nice one Maz!
Stupendous!! Really great close up of this work.
wonderful work and I am sure Tara May will be smiling warm hug, Linda
The lighting on this is really the defining point - brings out detail and contrast so well. Excellent shot.
superb textures...it works really well
A pillar of awesome textures in this shot, M! You've brought the meaning of stellar to new heights.
This is a wonderful detail shot.
I love this!! :) Thank you! Who needs to see the whole thing, when just a part is so much more engaging? :)
Wonderful light and shadow. Very beautiful
Very cool & beautiful closeup!
oh you caught some really fine details, the grain of the stone, the mortar cutting right across that flower in the center (that brings home that we are looking at stone & not just a flower, a juxtaposition that I happen to love...), the hand-carved markings on the leaves, and the pile up of sculpted forms in the background...a lovely capture showing complexity...It's wonderful when you start looking at details when you have your camera, because you see that there are worlds waiting in even one place. I had a feeling, from your first shot of the monastery that you were going to post a bunch of these, I'm glad you did, each one is a little world of its own...
Had you shot from far off the careful strokes taken by that long ago mason would not be visible. I love this. I can see him perched with his lunch scrutinizing his work, wondering where to make his next cut.
Nice shot of this.... Aloha
Just beautiful. Lovely textures.
