Description

The Black-footed Albatross is the only dark albatross of the northern Pacific Ocean and nests primarily on the Hawaiian Islands. It wanders widely across the northern Pacific for most of the year, and is regularly seen off the west coast of North America. It is endangered due to the fishing industry drift nets practices and oil spills. The albatross is one of my latest birds for my Seabirds collection.
