Wonderful shot! Interesting to see the realative health of the tree over the years Well seen and captured
Very nice shot!
WOW ! Look at that. Would be really exiting to know what happened to the tree about 40 years ago...if you follow the rings. Wonderful capture.
superb colours and textures...wonderfully captured
What an amazing picture, Tara. I love the various colors and textures. I, too, am curious as to what happened to the tree in its past - something interesting, I'm sure.
... this tree was probably quite "dead"... Wonderful photo!!!!
Very interesting to follow the rings all the way back to the tree's "birth". Like your smart chop/crop. Colors and textures are all right there. Well done.
This tree went through a lot. Wonderful texture.
Wonderful shot! :)
Wonderful and very creative work
Wow! Well done
Great colours! I have nearly finished my woodpile, what with this cold snap! It was all from my own garden, but I've had to order a half load from the tree man!
wonder what cause the tree to do that close to the center. guess it some tree sickness? cool shot
Looks like sushi roll; I can see the avocado and seaweed and everything! Great capture!
Fantastic!!
Takes me back to my apple tree felling excercise last year :..very neat image indeed Tara, great textures.
Look at the rings on that tree. Great picture!
I'm flabergasted! My boy just brought me 2 cut slabs last night! He knew I'd love the grain. He knows how much I enjoy working with wood and thought I'd like to take the slabs and finish them off for ??? I don't know what I'll do them for but they'll "speak" to me while I work and I'll find something wonderful to do with them. Outstanding shot.
From the thumb I thought I was seeing an arial shot of some field, very neat shot of this tree's life. : )
yes, great crop, allowing all that activity (the core) to radiate out into the shot. I've never seen such vastly different textures in a tree-cut before. It's like a casserole! Love the way you caught this, really nice pov Hope your eye's doing ok, btw. Hope it's not causing you trouble or pain...
Brilliant shot!
