Description
I'm trying to move in a different direction these days and having a go at some character based images. As I don't have Poser I'm using the free DAZ|Studio application.
This one uses V4 and the Millennium Dragon. All posing and clothing was completed in DAZ|Studio before importing into Bryce were I created the scene and rendered.
Postwork on lighting and adding the mist was carried out in Photoshop CS3.
Enjoy ... Tony.

Excellent!!
Well Tony! You know I'm a fan of your work, but I'm afraid I can't agree with every one on this piece. The terrain and atmosphere are very good along with the posing of the dragons, but the character is jagged and her eyes are lifeless which is characteristic to most poser and daz studio artwork. I'm not sure how this is done in DAZ but in poser in order to get over the lifeless, looking-at-infinity stare, I usually place and object in front of the character and use the "follow object" for the eyeballs, then by placing the object where I want the character to look, her/his eyes look much more naturally posed. Of course I didn't invent this trick, I read somewhere back when I started out with poser. Keep up the awesome work.
Great scene, very good work.
Very nice, I like the posing and POV.

Love the lighting and pose!
Daz is a really cool tool to ad action to your renders also making models in DAZ and using Your Bryce as Backgrouds can be fun.......Keep Brycin Bre
I am glad to see you added a human character to you work, Tony. Nice work with the girl. I like the warm glow on her skin. I would like to see different poses on the dragons. The post work around the moon looks great.
I like the panoramic feel of this one - could be a movie poster! Excellent work!
Very nice!
excellent work!
Very good character and outfit. Very good composition.
Wonderful scene! :)
The backdrop is fantastic! The sky positively glows!
Theres a lot of good stuff going on here: The cool placid moon and night contrasting (heightening actually) the danger implied in the dragons and red land. It's kind of hard to tell where the lighting is coming from on the warrior, but it definitely highlights her as the main character. Overall, it makes a storyteller like me want to know more...
