Like a rich tapestry woven by the gods!! an incredibly creative piece, if only I had all the time in the world you could spend hours wandering about in this one. well done Mandi!!!
Reminds me of decorative panels by Gustav Klimt...excellent abstract with superb colour and textures!
Marvelous!!
lol... you ever see that old commercial 10 or so years ago? It shows an egg and says this is your brain... they crack it open and dump it in a hot pan and say: This is your brain on drugs.... Any questions... the title reminds me of that commercial. ....so is your brain on drugs or do they just feel like it - LOL
great dedication! I'll checkout his gallery, though I've seen him around many times and yes, he leaves great comments! I love your title, and I thought of that commercial too. Kind of picturing you taking a chunk of The Gimp, downing it with water and then going off into Gimp-land and making images. (I can picture my friends in college—before there were desktop computers—going, "duuuude, I'm on Gimp! Like, we're all One!") (Ok, I'm not comparing them to you, I know you're very serious about this stuff! But the concept is fetching, like going around with a bong & saying, "I got great Gimp mannnnnn, wanna tote?") A very playful image, and yet with your genuine formal acuity; panels at top and bottom (to me, at least) and all those organic & pageant-like shapes you create so often. Playful, abstract expressionist, and it's very jazzy and tumultuous. It's like a bulletin board with a heavy case of overload; and as always there are wonderful mythic shapes throughout...they're surrounded by alot of stuff, but they're there. Great title & I love the image.
Splendid pattern and feeling ;O)
A great dedi to Mike for sure, I know he'll like it
Very nice abstract and textures Mandi - I like the underlying shapes (even if I maybe just imagining them :)). Fantastic work my friend.
