Do you think there is any chance I mean that just maybe Perhaps I might kiss you I know I should just be brave Grab you up in my arms Sweep you up off your feet But you are so beautiful That your beauty scares me Why would a queen kiss a pauper Why would a beautiful mermaid Kiss a old crusty fisherman You have the whole world at your feet And I am not even worthy To be walked on By someone as beautiful as you When you walk by I look away Ashamed of the differences between our lives The only time I have the courage to ask you for a kiss Is when I am alone And you are in my mind If you have ever met anyone so beautiful that you know that they could never love you, than this poem is for us
