Description
This old stone barn, obviously out of service for years, stands on a farm up in a remote northeast corner of Kansas. Barns like this have been replaced by modern buildings that aren't as attractive but are much larger and far more functional for the modern farmer.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, your comments are highly valued.

"Built for stout," as they used to say. Great find and capture, Bill.
Beautiful shot Bill! Very nicely composed!
Oh yeah, this has Civil War era written all over it. Stellar colors and textures in this composition, Bill!
A wonderful capture Bill. Do you have any idea how old this building is? Looking at an old building like this one always makes me wonder what was going on there when it was occupied.
marvelous old barn and photography
I love this old barn! Excellent photo. I really like stone constructions.
Well I don't know I am not really too into barns HAHA just kidding this is great~~~ Sad that they are being replaced isn't? I guess when we have a country full of Walmarts and strip malls they will all be happy...
What a wonderful find! Excellent photo.
Oh, I really love these old barns; they're so much more scenic than the newer buildings. Great find and capture!
Great shot, Bill! Good composition! Too bad 'cause they don't fix it... btw, I heard the state of KS offers free land, even abandoned houses, just to move in KS... is it true?
Wonderful barn shot. Did you go in look around for owl or any other good stuff?
Wow, what a great looking barn. Our barns here are/were always wood. It would be great if someone took pity and refurbished this one. :o) Excellent image.
The view of the construction is great. So strong and built to be serviceable. The rustic feel is here for sure.
Excellent capture. It would be interesting to see if one man stood on the second floor and hoisted up the bales for storage, and then tossed them back down when needed, and if it was the farm help that lived on the top floor. Or chickens.
Fantastic photo.
Wonderful! It could surely make a dwelling place.
Great! Love scenes like this...
great find !
Excellent....
WoW! This is pretty stunning. I can understand the need for more practical buildings but these have so much more character it would be a crime to let them all disappear. More like this please Bill.
Excellent shot!! :)
Areal shame they fall into disrepair but they do tend to make great pictures like this though! And you have made one!! Thanks mate! Rob.
Lovely barn! I knew right away that Lynell would enjoy this. :) Great old barn nestled among the trees!
Wonderful image!! :o)
Excellent Historical shot ;-)
A great shot Bill, this would make a nice home once refurbished
