BUY THIS CONVEYANCE!!!
Ninety-one in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
This is the only vehicle I encountered at the show that was unidentified as to make, model and year, leaving me somewhat nonplussed. Even the owner was nowhere to be seen. Hopefully, someone out there knows the pertinent details. Barney Oldfield, where are you now that I need you?
In any event, it was apparently built and used for racing back in the early part of the 20th century. At least it's in tiptop shape.
A zoom view would be to your advantage.
Thankx for dropping by, and have a monumental Monday.

Beautiful!!
Looks like it would be a nice ride for sure! No doubt a beautiful car!
Beautiful ride, nicely kept; quick, put on your goggles and leather helmet and let's go!
wonderful capture
a very cool pov for this old car
great capture...
My best guess is a Ford Model-A Speedster. Ford built these cars between 1928-1931. This is a particularly nice one...too bad it wasn't marked.
WOW, can't believe you got a Helms bakery truck in there, they use to go down my street when we were kids, just like an ice cream truck would, and you could buy things from them.. great to see... what an awesome memory you brought back..
I can imagine myself back in time sitting front of the black and white tv and watching some race with these cars. Good ole stuff...opps sorry lol. good automobil capture.
Beautiful photo.
Excellent shot of this beautiful old car. Fantastic details.
Harry this is an excellent shot of one vintage car. I always think that cars had far more character in those days didn't they? Superb photography as always from you, hugs Jane xx
Superb!
LOL, this is rich! I expect to see a college student in a bear coat and a cap in the school's colors driving this! Great capture, Harry. :)
Looks to be a fine specimen, what a classic and beauty.
