Description

My heart is full of joy today. At last, after waiting for several years, we had a decent fall of snow overnight - and it settled - and lasted all day - and is still there. The last time we had a goodly amount of snow I was still using my first digital camera which took pictures at 640x480, 64k. Since I got decent resolution cameras, we've had hardly enough snow to fill a teacup - and it usually melted within minutes. Needless to say, I took a few pictures today. I only intend posting my three favourites though. :-) This one was taken on my walk into work and shows Reading Bridge spanning the Thames. As can be seen, the snow was still falling. What a great day. I almost feel like singing. :-D ------------------------------- Original Photograph 2-Feb-2009

Well i'd never have believed it, what a wonderful fall. It's ironical really, yesterday I was taking a walk on frozen lake, something i'd always wanted to do after seeing a pic of the Thames when it had frozen over many many years ago. And now that i've done it, seeing the snowfall there in Reading warmed my heart. Make the most of it Kev..... here, I wish the winter would end, it goes on too long. Excellent capture.

Gorgeous, I know that excitement very well; I'm like a kid at the first sign of a snowflake! Beautiful shot, and enjoy it while you have it!
