Best viewed full size. I've been working on learning Vue again now that I finally have it set up on my Mac. I wanted to upload this before I tweaked it anymore. I'm behind on commenting again, but hope to get caught up by early next week. I need to stay off the computer more often because of a recurring neck injury but I'm still here and am trying to catch up on all the ebots tonight and tomorrow.
Thanks for all the past comments, favs, emails, etc. Sorry I've been slow to respond. I perform (in dance) in March and I need to work out these new/old kinks in my neck. : )
Rendered in Vue, minor postwork in The Gimp.

Beautiful scene, nice render, wonderful textures and atmosphere!!
There are no roses without spines therefore we got a viper in the middle of the scene… Really beautiful piece of art which, by its color, reminds me some wonderful paintings of Henri Rousseau, one century ago.
Really nice sky, it creates a great mood :)
A wonderful composition that bears a fitting title. Getting into a sophisticated program such as Vue must be like entering a maze, I guess, but the satisfaction grows as more and more time is devoted to get used to the various parameters and from looking at what you've done so far, no doubt you are in for great and rewarding achievements.I like the 'deceptive' and colourful serenity of the place! Well done !
Excellent perspective and scene. You have done so much with levels/ayers. The use of contract and color is also striking. I hope you neck gets better soon, or is by this post.
fabulous work !
I'm having problems with posting favs, I hope this works because this was a fav when i saw it some weeks ago...Cathy, this is just magical to me. And yes, it's deceptive because that aligator/snake is lurking with all those pinks in his mouth, and the clouds are low and dark...but the world around it is a fairy tale of bold images and Vue-like flora & effusion, but it's got qualities I don't always see in Vue: a fairy-tale boldness, lots of open space, those big beautiful flowers (love the hues and shapes), that skeleton-like thing in the left-background (white), the wonderful tree branches in the right-background jutting into the picture, etc etc. Bold and vivid images. I wanted to comment on this for awhile and decided to do it in this session before more time passes. I'll leave your gallery for now & come back next time, but it was a great to be here again (while I was stopping a small flood in my kitchen—speaking of mermans!) Wonderful journey as always Cathy!
