Only because this little patch is in the middle of my flower bed and if you DID try to walk on it, you'd trip over all the stuff you CAN'T see!!

Are those "hens & chicks"? If so I haven't seen them since I was a kid. Thanks for the memory. Dana P
Nice composition, and I love the greens!
Wonderful shot!
lovely composition
Cool comp of rich color
I'm not good at plant identification but the leaves remind me of an artichoke. One way or the other I wouldn't want to be walking around there without shoes :) Bill
Yeah, like Bill they remind me of artichokes, never seen this before, what is it? Very nice capture, I like the view exactly from above. :)
Very lovely image Marilyn!!! Love those succulent, rosy type of thingies!!! I saw some at the Botanical Gardens when Bruce and I went a couple of weeks ago!
Super sempervivums!! I love this sort with the red edges. I like the compo too.
Well I knew our resident Botonist Andrea could name these, she is a clever girl :)..succulent, rosy type of thingies..LOL Carin, you crease me up :) Maz this is a great capture, I love those little flowers, they look like tiny cabbages, good work sweetie.
Ok! Sempervivums (andrea)! (In Latin, that's "always vivid" I think...) A very head-on, active & vivid shot, your grasses & that sprig of leaves are fine companions to those beautiful flowers/succulents. Capturing them to the side gives nice balance to the big patch of grass: It has some of that simplicity you find in Japanese gardens & prints. Really nice work, Marilyn, once again. Always a pleasure to come here...(and I'm caught up I think! Whoa!)
Love the array of textures within this simple color palette, and the composition is great. Nice work!
Lovely composition! I love House leek's
nice mix of textures
Awesome greeny image, excellent shot!
the green sure stands out this is just awesome me eyes like much sweet weekend to you warm hug with a smile, Linda
I'mma laughing 'cause that is like my gardens. Great greens here and a very healthy bunch of plants and grass (which is technically a plant too I guess).
Andrea gave you the botanical name I`ll give you the common one .Houseleeks :o) Mick
Heavens, talk about Greensleeves! I would never step in or on that flora. Lots of textural activity on display in this shot, with the humble artichoke-like succulents on the right side of the image.
This is very beautiful !!! Excellent, dear Marilyn 5* :):):)
gorgeous greens... I like the way you offset the Hens & Chickens.
