Description
I was watching this pair for quite a while. All of a sudden without any warning one launched a vicious attack on the other. With several hard pecks to the head and back of the neck.
Thank you for looking, as always any comments or suggestions welcome 8~)

They can be wicked, but they are so beautiful, they can get away with it :) Nice catch David.
he must have not liked the joke the other was telling.maybe he mentioned the others mother
Great shot! They can be very aggressive but are beautiful as well!
Well seen and taken David, they do know how to rumble.
Must be the wife swan with a sudden PMS attack! Nice one David! :)

fantastic capture .. Swans are aggressive ..Ive seen them go after dogs before if one goes by the lake that I go to lol
Probably sex. Ducks get drowned by bully drakes this time of year, don't know about swans. They do mate for life though.
Like it david. Had one chase one of my daughters once...not far...just to make her stand back. Excellent capture. Bill
I've been the victim of a vicious beaking to the shoe from one of these; they can be mean. Great capture!
The power of love, they are so cute together!!! Excellent capture!!! :)
Great shot. Maybe what look vicious to you was only love bites to the other swan.
haha nicely shot!! possible excuse of attacking swan: 'there was a fly on the back of your head mate..!'
Excellent capture of these lovely birds. Perhaps he had indigestion.
L'entraide !
Oh, I'll bet that hurt! Geese seem to be just as feisty. Excellent capture of the moment!
