Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

These are funny. But with a windchill of fifty below, I'd venture that these are simply cold black laces. Think warm thoughts :o)

'Humpday'??? Haven't heard that expression in awhile! I love this shot! It's a really nice shot: Nice play between your boots, the shovel and the fence. And as for the laces, that's a nice shade of pink. The color isn't the only thing: It's how many times they're laced—you gotta go crazy putting in a new pair! Also, you did your signature in pink too! Class act. I think this is a very upbeat and vivid shot, I really like it. It's a visual dance. Keep warm, and remember that whenever you get bad weather, we get it the next day. You guys send it FedEx. Much obliged...have a good remaining Humpday, all 4 hours that are left of it...

A highly descriptive foto. Now that is really chic, Jodie! You're really prepared for the frigid cold in those booties with the pink laces. Actually, I wore plaid laces with my shoes many decades ago.

Great Laces and wonderful Tutu. Advice from the south.. bundle up, light a fire in the fireplace, get something hot to drink and stay put...It's scheduled to be minus 10-15 tomorrow night here. I'm thinking South Sea Islands. Cheers and warm thoughts, Skipper

Good grief. I have blissfully forgotten what a winter where you are is like! I do remember now my snow boots and having to slip my feet into plastic bags in case the melt found it's way in!

Great Shot !! looks like my back deck except there is 2 feet of snow on mine and there is no reason to shovel mine especially when it;s 18 degrees below zero !! I like the photo very Much Jodie !! [^____^] Cheers, Roger

I think I'd stand out like a sore thumb: you see laces and all I see is ice and ice and ice and wind streaming through the cracks! Great composition though.
