Description
Thanks to the following Terragen friends who made their files accessible to all (I modified them a bit) for use in this scene:
Luc Bianco for the cloud file available; and, Frank Basinski for the inspirations with his cloud files available on this site: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=5490.0 . Frank's site is: http://nwda.webnode.com/terragen-2-tech-packs/
DandelO for the rocks/stones array available at the Planetside forum at: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=4443.0
Lightning for the three different plant models used here available at the Planetside forum at: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=4743.0
The scene depicts an imaginary place that has been dry for many months just waiting for the next rain. The terrain is DEM file of Moonlight Peak, California that I have used a number of times both in Terragen 0.9 and Terragen 2. Enjoy!

Awesome brilliant cloud formations Bravo
Beautiful job Bob, love that perspective !
Excellent surfacing mats. And those clouds look like they are ready to give the landscape a good watering.
Cool scene.The clouds are stunning!
Fantastic work! ")
Absolutely fabulous Bob!! Truly inspired TG!
Cool cloud formations.
Beautiful clouds!!! It reminds me of my trips by car going through Arizona. Beautiful work Bob!!!!
OUTSTANDING!! just wow ;) wonderful realistic render, point of view, light and yes: absolutely fantastic cloud formations. 5+
This is one of your best, Bob !!! The clouds and surface are perfect and beautiful !!!!!!!!!
Splendid job, Bob! Those clouds look really menacing!
Fantastic...textur and clouds!
A brave attempt at high density clouds (at these high densities and high edge definitions it's easy to make them look too artificially 3d). The flatness of the base adds to that effect. But like I said it is a brave attempt, and credit to you for that. We must be talking 600 or 700 samples here. If I was a pilot I'd certainly say a wee prayer before flying into them.
I am speachless, it goes to my fav!!!!!!!!!!
This is really awesome! :)
outstanding concept! such thick clouds (impressive surface) must be able to pour an ocean! perfect pov for the view onto excellent stones and mood! ;o)
Enjoy I do, Bob - This may be enough to inspire me to give TG2 another go. I like the way the distant clouds seem to follow the planet's curvature.
Wonderful vista with superb clouds!!! Excellent work, Bob!!!
Wonderful clouds and lighting...seems a bit green on the foreground surfaces...may just be my old monitor...a touch more contrast could help but you know I love contrast and probably over do it on my images...overall a very nice render!
I really like this Bob.. I soemwhat agree with Frank B's critique over ay PS forum, and am looking forward to what you can cook up for the next scene!.
