Description
I took this photo quite some time ago with my now antique digital Sony Cybershot (1.3MP). The original photo simply presented a lifeless, dull, gray-cast window. Consequence: Filed and forgotten...
Today I pulled this old file shot up with no thought of posting it. But I was amazed at what came to life as I ran it through Photoshop.
So, here it is...bottom line for me is you can do a lot with old stain glass almost no matter what you start with.
Three other notes. 1) this is only a portion of the full size window, 2) this photo was taken from the outside and 3) I thought I was standing directly in front of the window but still got a bit of the odd effect of the horizontal lines of the window being straight but the vertical lines being tilted. Always something more to work upon :-)
Hope you enjoy looking at this leaded glass half as much as I've enjoyed resurrecting it.

Stunning artwork~
lovely shot with nice details
It is just gorgeous!!! Well done for the postwork, it will be hard to live without PS now we are starting to get to grips with it!
Great shot and post work. Bet you could do wonders with the Huge Window over the alter at El Cid.
I'm glad you resurrected it... Excellent shot...
You captured this very well Bill. Nice work.
Beautiful illustration of the masters legacy there, I like that blue colour, but then I would, as blue is my fave colour LOL...Nice one Bill.
Yes, rich blues. Nice photo-edit, Bill.
The design work is awesome, and it's amazing what you can do with a few megapixels. :D Great presentation-- glad you saved it. For parallel lines-- The Perspective tool in Photoshop fixes those right up, too.
Such a beautiful window. The cross, crown, and flowers are truly lovely.
Lovely window and you achieved beautiful results in Photoshop! Glad you retrieved this one, Bill.
Beautiful!
Superb work Bill, a beautiful window. I cant get into PS, I am so lost with it. I can't even understand the instructions, eeek! I went to a church this morning and am going to see what the shots turned out like and hopefully do a mini series over the next few days, fingers crossed,
Oh wow. This is wonderful! I don't know what it looked like to begin with, but whatever you did ... it's perfect! I love those rich colors. Nicely done!
not always easy to get proper alignment even with expensive lens of stain glass windows.I love seeing them if no one asks me to make repairs.excellent post work Bill. it is beautiful
Stunning clarity, colors, design, lighting and textures -- revived by the magic of Photoshop -- in this capture of the stained glass, Bill!
This is beautiful...wonderful detail and you brought it to life, I love it!
Beautiful rich colour, excellent!
WOW! Fantastic work!!!
That big was my very first digital camera, but it was making pretty good pictures! Excellent shot, Bill! That a real good picture!
I love stained glass windows!! In Photoshop, you could have straightened the lines. I know a lot of people do not know all the things Photoshop can do, but it's after "select all" and then under edit-transform or free transform, depending on which you want to do. The "skew" would work well on this one. If you have any questions about this, just PM me, and I'll try to help you as much as possible. ;o)
Beautiful shot and capture, dear Bill !!! 5* Happy and Peaceful New Year to You and Yours :):):)
What a great art... Wonderful lighting and colors!
You did a really fine job on this Bill! I can't believe it came from a 1.3 mp camera, Excellent! :)
Fantastic Bill!
