Description
As many of you will know, I was delighted last year (gosh, 2008 is now "last year"!) to become keyboard player in the Prog Rock band "Manning". Our new album "Number Ten" is the first that I have played on and I was also heavily involved in doing all the artwork for the cover and booklet.
Although the official release date is 14 Feb, copies of "Number Ten" can be ordered now and as they are now printed and available, they will be despatched as soon as possible. You can find out more information - and download the first track "Ships" for FREE - from http://www.guymanning.com
Done some months ago now, this is the illustration that I did to go with "Ships" in the booklet (allowing space on the left to print the lyrics!). It is basically Kaol's wonderful Seatraveler model rendered in Vue.
I hope you like - and thanks for looking! Phil

Beautiful Scene!! Fantastic Artwork!!
wonderful
beautiful scene with excellent pov, sky and mood
Great atmosphere - and awesome ship model
Excellent scene. Beatiful sunset, a sailing ship and, no doubt, a naked lady in the Captain's cabin serving rum. What more could a man want? ;0) The wake is a nice touch, how did you do that?
This caught my eye at once. Really good render.
Ace image Phil!! As a prog rock fan I just dashed over to the Manning site and downloaded Ships, and if your tour brings you to the Torbay area (Devon) I'll try to come along :)

A brilliant image (though I can only see one ship lol)! Good luck for your album!
This is just perfect...a ship sailing off into the sunset, and I like the off-center and slightly turned Point of View.
Wonderful, ship looks great
This is a great render that really must be viewed at full size to be appreciated properly. I also went by your web site and checked out Ships. Killer Jam.. I'll be checking back again.
I'd say like Macmondo, it's even more impressive at full size. So great !
