Description
This is absolutely my favorite maple tree. The bark is interesting, the shape of the tree is beautiful, and the leaves turn colors in the most glorious display of variety and charm!
I didn't postwork the sky ... that's just its natural color. All that about "the bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle" is only true if you're cruising at 30,000 feet! Statistically, we have about 90 cloud-free days per year. (Come visit between July 15th and September 30th for your best chance at seeing those blue skies!)
That was probably way more information than you ever wanted! :)

Fantastic picture! I love the color of a maple tree when the leaves change, they are spectacular.
great fall colors and atmsphere..!
This is wonderful. I wish you a very Happy New Year... hope your Christmas was nice! :-)
I think that saying came to pass with that early sixties TV show with Bobby Sherman called "Here Come the Brides". It's still a great place to photograph though. Awesome capture. Fantastic color mix.

Hmmmm...9 months of clouds and 3 of sunshine..after a lot of years in the Bay Area it would really be hard to adjust to that... but the colors in the leaves really stand out against the background in this one..
Excellent shot, great composition!
oohhh how I love leafs! and these are so wonderful colored and each one is different! looks like you captured the branch on a white sheet of paper ;o)
Just beautiful Tara....it reminds me of my Virginia Creeper when it changes colors in the fall.
gorgeous...the white is beautiful contrast to the leaves, the detail is beautiful and the feeling is almost of a Japanese print, in the sense of the silhouette of the leaves, that stark background & their eloquent and delicate 'speech'. Beautiful shot, truly.
wonderful colors!
gorgeous shot ! Maples are lovely trees . .I like Silver birch also
Beautiful! Aww, but we have skies just about the same color, or maybe a little grayer. Mid-California Valley high fog, it's called. ;o)
hmmm and I was wondering how you did that white bg, then I read your intro :o)....wonderful image Tara !
All that is needed is the music
