Captured 3/8/07 at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, aka the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, by the Pacific Ocean, a little north of Marilyn beachzz's beloved stomping ground: Huntington Beach and the Santa Ana River in Orange County, California.

Its Saturday morning here. You behind...Lovely images matie:)
Like the title..and collage...
I know exactly where this is and I love your fotos--makes me homesick almost!! I love those feathers you caught, they're so delicate and beautiful!!
Nice ones! Are you sure they're egrets and not herons? The shape and color look more heronish to me (not that I'm an expert, and not that it matters, they're beautiful birds whatever the heck they are!) Great shots!
MrsRatbag: They may or may not be herons; I don't know, I'm not a bird afficionado...I just thought that egrets sounded more esoteric, and because Marilyn posted a shot of them yesterday.
Nice work Harry :)
Harry, you've done a beautiful job finding and photographing these birds...an egret or heron:-) Birds must be the in thing today. I keep trying to find evidence of these long range photos being hand held...they look nice and crisp to me. Well done. Bill
nice to see a bird shot, alway exciting to see these birds
Whatever type of bird it is O'lboy, I like it. I like the feathery chest on the top capture, nice work once again!
Wonderful images and title too!
Very pleasing images Harry. I love waterbirds and I find it slightly easier to photograph than their land cousins... But only slightly!!! :)
Really nice shot! It's definitely A Great Blue Heron. :)
Lovely!
Nice heron shot, Harry, I haven't seen one in months, thanks for sharing yours.
