Description
The Midway was the second of the mighty Hastings-Class Battlecarriers. The lead ship of the class, the Hastings, was lost during Negative Mass Drive testing and neither the vessel nor crew was recovered. The goal of the design was to combine all the best attributes of a battleship with a carrier. While the Midway is more battleship than carrier, it's wing of fighters give it twice the punch of an escort carrier.
The ship class mounts the most advanced weapons, and a sophisticated long-range sensor suite that the Protectorate hopes will give them an edge on the Imperial Consortium ships, which have long been able to outflank human warships due to the fact that they use space fold technology to traverse great distances.
