Description
Some of you said you wouldn't mind staying in the old Georgia cabin in my posting from yesterday. Here is another view from the other end.
This is a real old timer. But believe it or not, when you walk around back you find it has or had electricity. The meter is still in place.
Apologize for the roof being almost blown out. Darken the roof and the rest of the cabin goes into deep shade leaving it almost featureless.
Still up for staying here? ...some of the tiny, old window panes are broken or missing...needs winterization bad.
Have a great day.
Bill

wonderful old house! Beautiful photo!
Hey! You know where this reminds me of. A film called The Howling. Check it out. This looks JUST like the cabins in it.... Spooky! Great shot, bill. Like. rob.
yes still up for staying there, Bill, lol... it definitly has a character and something special and with two good hands a bit of knowledge or with friends the minor issues could be set easily...smile... love what you did with this shot, it adds to bring out the character of the house
Delightful! What a charming old cabin and I love the stairway leading up to the loft! Great find and perfect in sepia tone.
Bill, that is my sorta house, as long as there is power & broardband access I'll call it home. Excellent capture & sepia effect, maybe just a tad too bright in the sky/top.
Your choice for the tone is just perfect ! Congratulations for your selection in LWitG (Last Week in the Gallery – week 51-2008 ) !
very sensitive work. It looks like a Depression Era photo (from the Farm Security Administration) and you got just the right hue & details and saturated lights for the era. Great title, but of course in those days a place like that could've housed several, so it's actually not far off. The intense lighting on the roof & sky speak to the age and glow of the place; and it's great that you gave us this view so we could see the stone supports for the porch and the way it sags...wonderful work, worthy of the LWitG, and another fav for me.
