Pretty scrawny arms.
And a bit panicky standing beside the Missouri River clogging up with ice.
Enjoy :-)

...so where are Pippin and Meryweather when you need them ...for shame, an Ent with out a head...;-)
Brrr....looks cold... Nice capture...!!!
brr, how could you find the camera button! cool shot! RS
Great shot.. Tell me that you and Mandy did not go swimming. Stay warm. Skipper
What's left of the pathetic tree appears to be gesturing to the ice floating by in this fantastic shot, Bill. Stellar clarity and DOF, as per your wont. And, yes, it does look frigid out there.
WoW!!! Just look at that ice. It might be damn cold but winter really does produce the best scenes. Thanks Bill :)
LMAO.... Classic Bill... Thanks for the greay laugh now! It is 2:54 am back here in SA and I cannot sleep because of my painful tooth... This was really a 'pick-me-up'. Well seen and captured my friend!!!
Two hundred miles south of you we've been gray, ice sheathed (but not like last December) and cold. Monday morning 16 degrees in Tulsa, tomorrow 55. Life on the Great Plains where only a barbed wire fence separates us and the north pole.
LOL! This is a great picture! Perfect title.
Eerily it tries to pass through the wrought iron fence.
Arms outstretched to Heaven asking for help. Great shot.
LOL Such expressive hands!
Looks like its ready to do a back dive into the river below.. xo
Bill, I'm freezing just looking at your capture! Cold, but nice work! :)
I crossed that river about 5 weeks ago and there wasn't any ice in it then. Everything wasn't covered with ice here in New Hampshire either. Things sure change fast. Terrific looking shot, he looks great without his head; maybe he's trying to keep warm.
It does look panic stricken as it struggles not to fall back into the frigid waters.A good shot.
LOL! Nicely seen, and a great shot!
LOL..Oh man! What a GAS! looks like the remains are pleading with the heavens for a reasonable answer.
LOL... splendid ;O)

lol...great description of what it looks like... the tree really seems to do some desperate gestures with its "arms"... and also like the icy water it is standing by
