Description
Interesting gull behavior: Appeared to be resting by facing into the wind and simply standing in one spot allowing the ebb and flow of sea water to gently wash over their feet. They were alert but by no means excitedly looking for their next meal.

Beautiful light on the birds and wonderful composition, splendid shot!!:-)
A beautiful shot! I have captured nearly the same image a while ago. I like the b&w version...!
Well you wouldn't want your feathers all ruffled up the wrong way, would you! A good shot.
Yeah, they do that. Good capture of the wet shore sheenn
Weather vaning is a sniffing behavior.
Great shot.
Wonderful shot. Like the B/W touch there. Probably sniffing out some fisherman's bait can ready to pounce when he turn his back. Cheers, Skipper62
Doing as we humans do and just enjoying a paddle without the silly 'kiss me quick' hats :) Very nice shot Bill.
A lovely seaside shot. Gulls do what gulls do! Often face into the wind. Perhaps they would get blown over!! Rob.
Well seen, and an excellent capture!
Excellent! Beautiful scene!
Great one, with the three rocks in the water matching their position. Super compo in B&W! Very well done, Clive
You have captured the light really great and the B/W works a treat!
Wonderful shot!!
Good effects in this exercise in the realm of semi-silhouetting, Bill!
What wonderful picture!
I have seen this before and always wondered what made them do this. Fantastic capture.
