...for what are the chains that bind us?...be they of our own making or that of our gods? and if they are but the weight of the gods upon our deeds what then of forgiveness...what of conscience and guilt...where then is the chain we place upon ourselves?..or do our gods chain us with their own crutches and burden themselves with our own guilt, laying forgotten and dusty and chained.....that we might fly and soar with the angels; unburdened by our own forgiven sins that we can no longer carry on our own backs.....
