Description
BUY THIS CAR!!!
Forty-ninth in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
Alternative energy from an earlier era, also known as the 1899 Locomobile Steam Runabout.
Forget the Bentley, Cadillac and Rolls Royce. What we have on display here is comfort, elegance, luxury and power to beat anything else on the road.
For history and particulars on the Locomobile, please refer to my yesterday's posting.
I believe the gentleman shown in the third photo is the owner of this splendid conveyance.
Much better viewed full size.
Thankx for the visit, and have a frequently frenetic Friday.

Thanks for the details Harry. Gotta love the headlight, so much charm on this locomobil.
For tuning i am rather "Kleemann", "Breyton" or "Brabus" but this beautiful old engine was so finely re-built. Original and very pretty shot, thank you.
How is it driven I see no chain to the rear wheel? I do see calipers and disc brakes on the front so it has a safe parade form.
wow this is wonderful keep up car for that age. someone took a lot of time to get this old one up like it is . cool shots of this too
It's a corker. Love the headlight and side lamps. Bill

Now that's a character of a car, Harry, would love to ride in it just once...although for allday hereabouts it would be a bit to open...smile
