I wondered why there were so many Carabinieri by the Trevi Fountain...then when I read in Wikipedia that there is approx. 3000 euro tossed into the fountain every day and it is removed at night, I got my answer...

Something I did not know, fascinating!
3000 euro...THAT's nothing to sneeze at! WOW! The things you learn. As for this image, I like it quite a lot; it has a somewhat dark and sinister mood, but there are glimpses of every day life here as well. I particularly like the flash-glare reflected from the white parts of the largely black uniforms. Great work here!
