Description
Time to rebuild a little aviation credibility :) And a zoom is well worth your time.
This P-51 Mustang has been seen earlier in my gallery but this shot shows it off from another angle and reminds you that you can't see much straight ahead when taxiing. You've got to do a bit of weaving left and right to see what's out in front of your 16' prop...and hope for a bit of help from the man in the tower too.
Hope you enjoy "Sweet Revenge" as she rolls by a sleek and speedy F-18E, Navy Super Hornet.
If money were no object, would you like one of these? Comments?

Great shot. Yes, if money was no object I would buy one for my brother who is a retired pilot.
Very cool Bill!
The P51 Mustang is quite the WWII plane.... Nice shot...
Great shot of a great bird. I do appreciate your mentioning the F-18-NAVY in your comments. Ditto on the desire to have one parked in your driveway. Skipper62
If money were no object it would sitting proud in my hanger next to my Hawker Hurricane, BF109, HE111, Huey and Kubelwagen. Now where is this weeks lottery ticket :)
A grand shot, Bill! I certainly wouldn't say no, if I could buy one, but if I had a choice. A Fw190 would be my first choice. They have done a really fine buffing job on this bird! Great one, Rob.
Neat photo, Bill. Thanks for uploading. The zoom-in puts me right there.
Wonderful capture and plane great livery, Excellent well done..
P-38. Nice shot.
Wonderful As for your question.... Y E S P
Nice! Yep, if moeny were no object, I'd have a P-51 in the hangar. Sharing it with a Corsair, a Spitfire, maybe a Tempest or Sea Fury... and definitely a "Clunk" (Cf-100 Canuck).
Beautiful shot of the North American P-51, rated as one of the top fighters of WWII, all decked out in red and checkerboard. I think the bubble canopy really added to its elegance. Although I love this aircraft, if I had my druthers, I'd go Lockheed P-38 Lightning myself.
these machines are beautiful! Nice shot!
It is a beautiful plane but I don't know what I'd do with one...lol...I don't fly and I don't know a pilot...thank you for the look, excellent shot!
A fine capture Bill, an interesting comparison in size. The F-18 tail alone shows the difference in size between these two fighters. If money where no object I'd definitely add one of these to my collection. Thanks for another great image Bill.
Yes. Real arplains got props.
Great capture Bill. Too bad you can't post the sound of that Merlin!
Thats a great shot!
A really expensive hobby for sure..but a labor of love...
They don't get much better than this runway capture. 5+
