Description
Fall colors are coming on fast at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Best viewed full-size.
This lake is in the middle of the old Army post. It has had many uses...water basin, fishing pond and during both World Wars, army engineers trained here to build all sorts of bridges.
Today, the park-like appearance comes from the fact that it is next to the post's golf course.
Thanks for any and all comments.
Bill
P.S. I needed a dog or a duck or a flying bird of some type in this picture but nothing was stirring at this early hour :-)

Nice landscape!*****
splendid place and splendid photo !
Looks a great place for a walk. Nice panoramic shot!! Well done again, my friend, Rob,
Lovely!
Sublime! Much of my family is from Kansas so I have a few old black and white photos from early 1900's. Have nothing in color so I enjoyed seeing this, very beautiful scenery! (Lynn)
Beautiful shot. Golf Course you say. Sounds a lot like an Air Force Base. It is a fine photo. Skipper62
So scenic and serene....!!!!
Lovely shot!
A beautiful panoramic view. Excellent.
LOL - Might have tried throwing a golf ball in front of the lens. LOL I saw this and thought it was so well maintained here that it ought to be a golf course. Gorgeous view and excellent capture of it.
Oh, it is too beautiful! Lovely image Bill! :)
Perfect! A wonderful pic!
A beautiful scene Bill, lovely work
Definitely worth the zoom... excellent!
Most serene vista in this fine panoramic capture, Bill. Everything looks so immaculately manicured, with not a leaf out of place.
A perfect scene Bill. Rather envious as we had heavy snow here today.
How peaceful this scene looks, early morning is the best time of the day. I love the long shadows in this beautiful capture.
Paste one in .. that's what photoshop is for!! LOL GREAT shot even without Bill! :)
This is beautiful, I'd love to be sitting out there on a nice autumn day just soaking in nature...a fav with me!
picturesque and well-kept place, love the side light.
