Description
Twenty-four in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
Lots of reflections on this one.
Background slightly blurred and darkened in order to accentuate the automobile.
Thankx for the visit on this bright and hot mid-90 degrees fahrenheit Thursday.

So beautiful coupe! Well captured and you were totally right in doing the postwork, excellent! I like the reflections too
I have actually picked up parts from a 4.9 Super America engine where one of the cylinders pulled out of the head where it was threaded in. Now that I know the Hispano-Suiza V-8 better I can see how this single overhead camshaft aluminum engine was drawn. I only got to see the body as the car pulled into the garage so this is a treat now. It couldn't be the same car? Was this one orange and had a Chevy for awhile and was in Southgate? 1968 when I saw it if it is.
Gosh Harry - this is a beauty! Not exactly a Magnum Red Ferrari but the lines are unmistakable Ferrari. Nice one! :)
tallpindo: all I know is that the owner is from San Juan Capistrano, California.
Beautiful!! The reflections on this car are hard to believe! Talk about a mirror-shine!
These cars in such a good and perfect condition. No bump/dent, no dirt, not even dust. I like the grill a lot and a star shine on a chrome.
I see you are still on a roll my friend. Nice shot :)
I see where Shelby picked up some design ideas?...very nice!
Hey, this one is my age! And she's a real looker, too! Great shot, but I don't see you in any of the shiny parts.... :(
Another beauty. I actually like the lens flares on the front - makes it looks so incredibly shiny.
I'd be afraid to even move this car, what a beauty!!
Beautiful car and fantastic reflection.Super photo.
I browsed through your old classic car shots here in your gallery; and they are beautiful. the small town we live in just put up a place called Classic Rides and Rods. I've been wanting to go there with my camera sometime, but don't know if I'll be scolded or questioned. :) maybe I'll bite the bullet and just go. Hope you are doing well... have a great weekend Harry! :)
What a beauty. I am familiar with Enzo's cars from the 60s and later but have never seen one from the 50s. A big treat for me. Like your series very much. Looks like it will be springtime before any more car shows in the Kansas City area...but I'm looking forward to trying out my Olympus on the next show. Bill
A little beauty!
What a beauty, and will you look at those reflections. This is a fabulous car and capture, me likes!!
Wowww...Such a beauty!! Great!!
a neat little one...smile
Wonderful capture, excellent done and beautiful colours !!! V:5******** Hugs !!!!
Wow! The shine on this beauty is awesome!
I don't know much about cars, but visually this is a beautiful shot. I understand your toning down the background to accentuate the car, and I agree with Jodie about the lens flare, it works perfectly. I can't believe the reflections, they're to die for; and you obviously know how to shoot cars, because you get them from angles and with light that makes them feel like jewels & museum pieces put into one. This really opens up to the left of the shot, and it looks as if it's made out of light as well as steel. Really fine work.
