Description
This is the pretty wild rose, Rosa Rugosa, mentioned and shown in my Oct 15th posting, "Fork In The Road". It grows on a shrub and is found on many North American east coast beaches. I must admit, I haven't checked to see if it also is present on North American west coast beaches.
This rose being wild is a bit wrinkled...but is a beauty nonetheless.
Enjoy.
Bill

Very beautiful and gorgeous shot
Beautiful, Sir The Colors and contrasting leaves come through wonderfully well, and you even know the Scientific Name for it... Wonders never cease. Skipper62 Broke wing fighter jock who doesn't know a dandelion from a corn stalk.
Fantastic close-up. Beautifully done.

Gorgeous!
I know that they are grown as cultivated roses but I haven't seen any wild unless they were abandoned from razed housing. Lovely shot with good detail and appeal.
I know Alberta in western Canada, the provincal flower is the wild rose, and its motto is Wild Rose Country....it looks like those I've seen...however! Great capture!

These are fabulous colors - what a contrast! You certainly wouldn't miss it, would you!. Great work, my friend, Rob.
So beautiful. I live in the middle of the country and these grow along our country roadsides. There is a patch of them by our mailbox.
