Description
There were some pretty dramatic clouds at sunset this evening.
Just before the sun dipped below the horizon, a mini-rainbow formed in a nook near the top of this thunderhead. The actual cloudbank was much larger -- I zoomed in quite a bit to get this chromatic detail.

Absolutely stunning capture of these clouds, and then to find a little rainbow peeping out. Fabulous.
Wild and Wonderful!!!
That is amazing. The clouds are billowing & full of movement. I've seen sundogs but this is wonderfully unusual!
Wonderfull!!!!!!!
Wow, great catch, lucky you to have witnessed it in person, it looks like one of those wonderful nature moments that makes you thrilled to be in the right place at the right time. : )
Wow, what a beautiful capture. I saw one like that last week. Of course, the clouds didn't look this dramatic. It was so strange seeing just a bit of rainbow so high in the sky. Isn't nature wonderful. Have a great weekend. Aloha
A splendid capture....thanx for sharing
Very interesting indeed! Great capture!!!
Sunset cloud drama, wonderfully caught!
This reminds me so much of a portion of a mushroom cloud right after an atomic bomb blast. Sci-fi programs/movies feature this effect quite often. Imperturbable alien life forms usually walk out of this with complete impunity. Anyway, cool effects in this shot, Kort.
Wow! That is an amazing and wonderful capture!
