Description
Part of the land across Pelekane Bay had been altered and destroyed. Tons and tons of white coral was used to make a boat harbor just beyond those Keawe Trees. As a result, minimal water movement in the bay causing marine life to decline. No fishing, swimming or sunbathing allowed in this area in respect to its religious culture. And of course, sharks frequent this area. Aloha and thank you for viewing

I lived in Hawaii for a while, so I really enjoy everything you post. These wonderful photos bring back great memories for me!
wow !!!!!! What a place to explore Errol....such a lovely vista
Beautiful place.Wonderful photo.
A very interesting image.I like boat harbours when I have a boat but they really impose them selves over the natural. What is the stone formation in the foreground??
A wonderful place and capture, Errol. Have the best day. Aloha. Diane. xx
Wish humans would let nature be. Beautiful shot.
ralph49...That is a relocated chair where royalty would sit on to worship the gods. Aloha
Beautiful capture. I find it most interesting that the people place the need for boat access right up there with the preservation of their own heritage. Aloha.
Very interesting landscape shot!
Beautiful and interesting view! A great new series!!!
Wonderful shot, man will pay the price for always trying to impose his ways...
Such a beautiful place.
Thanks for your inside view of things. It is important. I am fairly balanced when it comes to man and nature but what a shame destroying all that white coral. Think how long it took to grow in the first place. Bill
wonderful to see this. sad to hear what man had did to the land but guess that how it goes at times. thanks for showing where the royalty sit

Beautiful bay:):):)
Excellent view! :)
Man will learn in the end or vanish. And this place will continue to be beautiful.
The arrogance and caprices of mankind will be the end of us all.
Always a hot and dry place to visit, thanks for the info...too bad it's come to this! Aloha~
BEAUTIFUL CAPTURE & VIEW :)
It's still beautiful - great capture!
Interesting image and information!
Great shot! It is a amazing when people find beautiful things, and in trying to "better" it they seem to only make it worse. Even Hawaiian of old knew not to disburb the Gods. :)
like a lot!
Beautifully!

a sight to watch in silence! ;o)
